Stage 5

Cast your mind back to January and the first ever Hidden Door. Remember the maze? Well forget the maze! It’s dead and gone. Instead Hidden Door 2 has 5 glorious stages occupying the Roxy Hall. Each stage is a collaboration between artists, musicians, film-makers and anyone else who’s kicking about.

The lovely Greer Pester is heading up stage 5 at Hidden Door and is working on a design that sees each artist involved in the stage being given a ‘stage component’ to work with. These will take the form of 2d and 3d shapes made from a variety of materials.

Each component (think massive building blocks) can be painted/manipulated /decorated--projected on however the artist pleases and then composed for each performance or slot meaning artists can choose to personalize their blocks for specific performances and collaborations with musicians.

Also, we should give a massive ‘woop woop’ to Greer and Bernie Reid who produced our fabulous new logo and poster. They’re rather talented!
